SIAN KA’AN BIOSPHERE
The Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is a protected area accessible only at the end of the hotel zone in Tulum. A real piece of heaven on earth, where you’ll find lagoons, virgin beaches, mangrove and that is home for a wide variety of flora and fauna. This natural wonder is nominated World Heritage by UNESCO.
Dare to discover one of the most impressive archaeological sites of the Mayan World. The city of Coba is located 45 minutes from Tulum Downtown. Walk or ride a bike through the Sacbe (white roads) in the heart of the jungle and climb to the top of the Nohoc Mul Temple to contemplate the stunning Caribbean wilderness from above.
The cenotes are sinkholes formed by the water filtration through the limestone that caused the cave ceilings to collapse, resulting in gorgeous natural pools of crystal clear water and unique rock formations. Cenotes were considered sacred entrances to the underworld by the Mayan civilization. These marvelous spots can be found only in the Yucatan Peninsula, where travelers and divers enjoy visiting these incredible places in search of a different, fun experience.
KAAN LUM LAGOON
A gorgeous lagoon of unparalleled beauty is found just 20 minutes away from Tulum. This incredible body of water, surrounded by the stunning jungle is safe for swimming on the shore, and right at the center, a cenote flows deep and dark, making the lagoon a great alternative for both families and expert divers to cool from the heat of the Tulum beach.
